Qualtest Performs Aircraft Icing Test
Qualtest Performs RTCA/DO-160, Section 24, Category B Icing Testing for Airborne Equipment.
This test combines temperature, altitude, and humidity environments and is applicable to equipment with moving parts that could be impeded by ice formation, or where forces resulting from the expansion of ice could damage structural or functional components. The airborne equipment is subjected to a repeated process of condensation, freezing, and melting.
Qualtest is pleased to announce the arrival of our new LDS V9 Electrodynamic shaker with 3 inch displacement capability. This shaker is suited for high force long duration tests as well as low frequency and shock pulse tests, providing the versatility and capability demanded for both qualification and production testing. It uses a revolutionary design of two magnetic gaps driven by one field coil to provide displacement up to 3.0 in. with a peak velocity of 118 in/s and 23,600 lbf.
