Qualtest performs RTCA/DO-160F, Section 24, Category B Icing testing.
This test combines temperature, altitude, and humidity environments and is applicable to equipment with moving parts that could be impeded by ice formation, or where forces resulting from the expansion of ice could damage structural or functional components. The airborne equipment is subjected to a repeated process of condensation, freezing, and melting.
