Acceleration testing is designed
specifically to uncover structural and mechanical weaknesses
that are not necessarily detectable by other mechanical
stress tests, e.g. mechanical shock testing and vibration
testing. This kind of testing is most commonly used on
objects that experience motion - induced loads during use,
such as aircraft and vehicle-mounted equipment.
